to Announce Benefit Concert for The SHACK 333 Valley Street.
New Haven, CT — Musicians and recording artists Marion Meadows and Jay Rowe will hold a press conference on behalf of The SHACK Community Center to announce its partnership and fundraising benefit with 333 Valley Street: The Shack and the Still in the Ville organization. Together, they will present the 3rd Annual ALL-STAR Tribute to New Haven’s own renowned guitar player, Rohn Lawrence.
The press conference will include remarks from organizers, participating artists, and a short live performance. It will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2025, at The SHACK, located at 333 Valley Street, New Haven, CT.
The benefit concert itself will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2025, at Toad’s Place, 300 York Street — one of Rohn Lawrence’s most beloved stages. All proceeds will go toward expanding The SHACK’s extensive music programming for New Haven youth. “This isn’t just a concert,” said Honda Smith, Founder & Executive Director, The SHACK. “It’s a celebration of legacy, mentorship, and the power of music to bring people together across generations. Thanks to our partnership with Still in the Ville, this year’s event will directly support young people in developing their musical talents and creative voices.”
The SHACK is a community-centered space where youth (ages 14+) through seniors come together to learn, grow, and thrive. Offering programming that feeds the mind, body, and spirit, The SHACK empowers participants through:
